8/16 家族でバーベキュー
We have a family reunion every year during Bon holiday. This year we had a barbecue in front of my parent’s house. Unfortunately, it rained that day. But the good thing is that the weather is cool. 11 of my relatives gathered in my parent’s house and we had so much fun while drinking. When I was a child, we used to gather frequently and played with my cousins. But the opportunity to get together became lesser because we are grown up and living in different places. Also, some relatives got married and have their own homes already. That’s why I want to treasure this reunion in the future as well.
私の親戚は、毎年お盆に祖父母の家に集まります。今年のお盆は、家の前でバーベキューをしました。その日はあいにくの雨でしたが、むしろ涼しくてよかったです。親戚は全部で11人集まり、みんなでお酒を飲みながら楽しい時間を過ごしました。私が小さい頃は、頻繁に祖父母の家に集まり、いとこ同士で遊んだものですが、みんな成長し、今は別々のところに住んでいて、それぞれの家庭があるので、なかなか集まれる機会も減ってしまいました。だからこそ、年に一度の恒例行事をこれからも大切にしていきたいと思いました。

8/20 うちの元気なばあちゃんの話
My grandmother is very well. When I stayed at my grandparent’s house during Bon holiday, I again realized that thing. In the day, I got up late without having to worry about time. But she got up 6 am, cooked breakfast for her husband and cleaned house.It’s her daily routine. Three days ago,she went to COSTCO where we needed to go for 40 minutes by car, because she wanted to talk about it with her friends in Osteopathic clinic where she often goes to. It was her first time. he is 87 years old. She is very well. When I saw her, I thought I’ll do houseworking harder. Grandma, please more power and stay healthy.
私の祖母は本当に元気だ。それを改めて感じたのはお盆に祖父母の家に泊まったときでした。私は時間を気にせずに、ゆっくり朝を迎えたのですが、祖母は朝6時に起き朝ごはんを作り、家の掃除をしていました。それが祖母の毎日の日課なのです。先日、「行きつけの接骨院での会話に入りたいから」と家から40分かかるコストコに初めて足を運びました。今年87歳になるのに、本当に元気です。そんな姿を見たら、私も家事頑張らないとな、と思いました。いつまでも元気でいてね。
