8/12 6ヶ月ぶりに友人と再会
I met my friends, who were my team mates in the basketball club in high school, for the first time in 6 months yesterday. One of my friends came back to our home town because of Bon holiday. We had a dinner at an Italian restaurant. We had salad and mushrooms and shrimp in olive oil. Because yesterday was a national holiday, the restaurant was so crowded. We had drinks and talked about the good old days. The time was very fun so the hours flew by without notice. I thought I want to keep in touch with my friends in the future as well.
６ヶ月ぶりに、高校のバスケットボールチームの友達に会いました。そのうちの１人は、お盆休みで帰省してきていました。私たちは、イタリアンのお店でディナーを食べました。昨日は祝日だったので、そのお店はとても賑わっていました。私たちは、お酒を飲みながら、昔話に花を咲かせました。彼女たちの前では素でいることが出来ます。これからも大切にしていきたい友達だと改めて感じました。

8/15 初めてのコストコ
I went to COSTCO yesterday. It was my first time to go there. A lot of products were piled up in the huge store, and items, shopping carts were very big. So the store was just like a supermarket in foreign countries. But I was so tired because there were many people in the store and in the parking lot because of the Bon Holiday. They will hold a party with their relatives and friends. So, I thought everyone thinks the same way. Anyway it looked like I went to an amusement park, I enjoyed it.
昨日初めてコストコに行きました。店内はとても広く、そこにたくさんの商品が積まれていて、まるで倉庫のようでした。商品のサイズや、ショッピングカートがとても大きいので、海外のスーパーに来ている気分になりました。けれど、お盆ということもあり、駐車場も店内もとても混雑していました。みんな考えることは一緒だな、と思いました。とにかく、コストコはアミューズメントパークのようで、とても楽しむことが出来ました。

※COSTCOの発音記号は【kɔ́stkoʊ】で、日本語読みでは『コスコ』に近い。また、社名の由来は「cost」と「corporation」をつなぎ合わせたものだそう。
これはうちの祖母。小さな体で、特大ショッピングカートを押す様子がツボでした（笑）。それにしても何もかも大きかったな〜。そして混んでた〜。ホント、みんな同じこと考えますよね(^_^;)
でも、とてもいい思い出になりました。
英文は、結構簡単な文法と単語だけでも書けることが分かり、そんなに苦痛じゃなくなりました。自分の間違えやすいポイントもなんとなく分かってきました。頑張って続けていこう(^o^)！
